Lorraine Le Plastrier

Lorraine has been writing poetry since she was 16.

Apart from writing, Lorraine’s involvement in the arts is longstanding. She plays mandolin with the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra and, as a visual artist, she works across many media – sculpting, silver smithing, drawing and painting. Her work is represented in private collections in Victoria, New South Wales, West Australia, Belgium and the United States. Recently one of her sculptures, She Who Sails Into the Wind, was used by Elena Kats-Chernin to compose an orchestral piece for the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra.

Currently living in Castlemaine, Lorraine enjoys the birds and gardens as her daily restorative and meditation.

Lorraine is preparing to publish three volumes of poetry:

Golden Dust Comes Falling

Poems of Regeneration – Mettams Pool and Disability
