Evelyn Cronk lives in Melbourne, Australia. She is a member of Writers Victoria, the Society of Women Writers Victoria, Bayside U3A Writers, the Lyceum Club and a life member of Australian Screen Editors.
Evelyn is represented by Sally Bird of Calidris Literary Agency.
Prior to falling into the world of words, she enjoyed a productive career in the Australian film industry as a film editor and post-production supervisor. Evelyn moved from actively editing to become manager of a specialist post-production house, Roar Digital.
Roar is a subsidiary of film production company, White Hot Productions. As part of the team, she read and discussed many of the scripts that were submitted to White Hot Productions for consideration.
Evelyn proffered a story synopsis, thinking that the script supervisor might like to take her outline and turn it into a film script. The supervisor loved the story, the producers loved it. They encouraged Evelyn to develop the story as a novel. Without Question she has done that. Without Question which was published on January 25th 2024. There is a proposed limited episode TV series based on the novel to follow.
When not wrestling with writing a piece for the Bayside U3A Writers ‘Word of the Month.’ Evelyn plays lawn bowls, cycles, skis, hikes and, as a Cinema Pioneer, watches a lot of films.
In quiet times, she enjoys reading and eating anything she doesn’t have to cook herself. Not good at gardening or babysitting.
