Margrit Zalisz

Margrit Zalisz is a Melbourne writer of German origin. She migrated with her family to Australia when she was fourteen years old. Married with one son, she is now the proud grandmother of two little girls. She enjoys travelling to interesting places and meeting people, and weaves these experiences into her stories. Her other passion besides reading and writing is music.

Margrit began writing almost thirty years ago and her work, including short stories, essays and poetry has been published in various magazines and anthologies. In 2010 her first book, The Inscrutable Heart, a selection of novellas, was published by Hilbert Press in paperback and eBook. Her second book, A String of Pearls, a novel, was released in August 2014 followed by two publications in 2017, The Munich Vagabond and Light & Shade, a collection of poems, and The Time to Love, published in 2018.
