From 2004 to 2017 I taught primary students in remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory and volunteered as an educator in Myanmar before returning to Darwin to work with teachers in financial literacy and Indigenous numeracy projects. During this time, I wrote little, other than training manuals and curriculum materials.
My current project - writing a biographical historical novel based on the life of Peter Abelard (1079-1142) Breton philosopher and theologian - is now in its fourth year of gestation.
