Karen began as a secondary maths teacher, before moving into special ed., teaching literacy and numeracy in TAFE then secondary schools. She moved from teaching into chaplaincy in a local primary school. Alongside this, Karen has written songs and recorded two CDs. She now works full-time as an author and speaker (when not away camping).
Karen has published one children’s picture book about individual differences and is currently working on her second about the loss of a sibling. She has had a short story published in Write Away.
