Joan Lane

Joan was raised and educated in Victoria Australia, attending a regional boarding school during World War Two. 

Her first publication was a poem while living in Queensland in the 1980s. Other poems and plays followed. 

She became an editor for 'ART ATTACK' Magazine while in Western Australia in the 1980s. She studied creative writing at Rockingham Campus Uni and set up a local writers group. 

In 1990 she made a career change to counselling and opened a practice. 

She was also the Editor and Publisher of The Australian Writers Journal from 1991 to 1998. 

Most of her work is fiction but has written some biographies and articles.
