Maureen Lane’s story is the story of her generation. Born in the 1950s into the warm embrace of a loving and vibrant family, her childhood was one of movies and make-believe that merged into a devotion to The Beatles and Australian music.
A teen bride, she emerged from the ‘70s as a feminist. By the 1980s she had new-found wisdom, had co-authored a book and had a career, only to have it suddenly cut short. Struck down, but not out, she found true friendship and most importantly, true love. Hers is the story of a post-war woman told through sorrowfully heavy and hilariously light anecdotes – her Rocks and Feathers.
