Speaker: 

Kylie Orr writes dark, twisty contemporary fiction that uncovers the hidden lives of everyday people. She holds an Associate Degree in Professional Writing and Editing (RMIT, 2025) and a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Her debut novel, Someone Else’s Child, was longlisted for the Richell Prize and published by HarperCollins (2022), while her second, The Eleventh Floor (2024), was an Apple Books “Must Read” and The Age Book of the Week. A manuscript appraiser for the Australian Society of Authors and a sought-after panel speaker, Kylie also writes feature articles, short fiction, and children’s books and loves exploring themes that resonate deeply with women.

Kylie presented at our Online Literary Festival in February 2024 where her session was very well received.
