Join us at Ross House for our informal Members’ Christmas Readings competition.

Bring your short works (up to 500 words) that have not been previously published or won a prize to read aloud for the chance to win a modest prize.

Poetry, flash fiction, non-fiction, memoir or extracts from longer pieces are welcome.

Those who would like to read works that have been published or won prizes are welcome to bring them along for reading should time permit but these will not be included in the competition.

This is our final in-person meeting for 2025 so join us for chat and networking over a shared lunch.

Zoriana Voitiv from Lviv, Ukraine, will lead two evening poetry workshops. Workshop 1 was held Tuesday 11^th November “The Voice Within: Writing from the Heart”

Workshop 2: Thursday 20^th November at 7.00pm AEDT

“Home, Memory, and Belonging”
Participants will write poems inspired by memory, place, and identity. Through guided prompts and reflection, we’ll explore what “home” means to each of us — as both a physical and emotional space.

During each workshop, every participant will create her own poem — perhaps for the first time, or as a new discovery of her poetic voice. Above all, it will be an opportunity to feel what poetry truly is.

Members free.

Non-members $15.00 for one or both workshops.
